In a press release, the FCC and FTC Commissioners announced that they are postponing their field hearing on 5G technology and big data, which was scheduled to take place on Monday, March 16, at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, because of the danger posed to travelers and field hearing attendees by the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

CTIA, through its subsidiary NEAD LLC, announced that the National Emergency Address Database (NEAD) Platform has ceased operation and is no longer available to support wireless providers’ provision of dispatchable location information.
