2020 FCC SealFCC Releases Tropical Storm Isaias Communications Status Report

 

The FCC released a report on the status of communications services in geographic areas impacted by Tropical Storm Isaias in Connecticut as of August 10, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. EST. This report incorporates network outage data submitted by communications providers to the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS).

Chairman Pai’s theme for the September 26, 2019 Open Meeting is “Storming Back Stronger,” a phrase the surely resonates with those of us on the east coast who have spent the last week or two fretting over Hurricane Dorian.  The “storm” agenda is anchored by the FCC’s consideration of an order to finalize Stage 2 of the FCC’s Uniendo a Puerto Rico and Connect USVI Funds.
