New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation requiring affordable internet for qualifying low-income families. This legislation requires providers operating in New York State to offer $15/month high-speed internet to low-income families across the state.

In two weeks, the list of broadband providers that have been elected to participate in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBBP) has almost doubled from 319 providers at the beginning of the month to 513 providers as of today.
