FCC Commissioners Praise Coronavirus Relief and Omnibus Funding Legislation

Both FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel issued statements in response to the communications provisions in the new COVID relief and Omnibus funding bills.

FCC Chairman Pai said, in part:

“I applaud Congress for including in the coronavirus relief and omnibus funding legislation a number of provisions that advance critical national priorities in communications policy.

Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Mike Doyle (D-PA) have asked FCC Chairman Ajit Pai to provide additional transparency on the distribution of public funds through the COVID-19 Telehealth Program,
