The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau dismissed a petition asking it to initiate a rulemaking proceeding to require edge providers (like Google, Facebook, YouTube, Pandora, Netflix, and LinkedIn) to honor “Do Not Track” requests from consumers.

FCC Adopts Rules for the IP Transition

At its August 6, 2015, Open Meeting the FCC adopted two items regarding the IP transition.  The first item is a Report and Order, Order on Reconsideration, and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking addressing various issues associated with retirement and discontinuance of copper networks.
