The FCC has released the terms and conditions of a consent decree entered into with T-Mobile under which T-Mobile will pay a $200 million penalty to the U.S. Treasury to resolve an investigation of its subsidiary Sprint’s compliance with the FCC’s Lifeline rules.

Mobile Cramming Investigations Result in $158 Million in Settlements

Verizon Wireless and Sprint Corporation entered into separate agreements with the FCC, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the attorneys general of all 50 states and the District of Columbia to settle charges of mobile cramming.
