Acting FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel released notes regarding the February Open Meeting scheduled for 2/17/21. She discussed the significant tasks for the agency in the new appropriations law that include helping Americans afford broadband, expanding access to telehealth technologies, building better maps that reflect where high-speed service is and is not, and improving the safety and security of our nation’s communications.

The Federal Communications Commission today fined a robocaller $9,918,000 for illegally using caller ID spoofing with the intent to cause harm. This individual made thousands of spoofed robocalls targeting specific communities with harmful pre-recorded messages.
