On February 25, 2021, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) unanimously adopted the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (Program).  The Program is a $3.2 billion federal initiative to provide qualifying households discounts on their internet service bills with the ability to receive a discount on a computer or tablet during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department of Justice announced today that the Department’s Antitrust Division is reviewing whether and how market-leading online platforms have achieved market power and are engaging in practices that have reduced competition, stifled innovation, or otherwise harmed consumers.
