The FCC announced  the most recent inflation adjustment factors for rate-regulated cable operators. Operators filing FCC Form 1210 may make an annual adjustment based on inflation occurring from June 30 of the previous year to June 30 of the year in which the inflation adjustment is made.

In a recent opinion, the Nebraska PSC opened a grant window for its wireless infrastructure grant program.  The PSC found that the amount made available for the 2020 grant application cycle should be set at $5.2 million. The application window for the next round of grants should open on August 10, 2020 and extend through October 1, 2020.

FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel announced the release of a new episode of her podcast, Broadband Conversations.  The newest episode features NASA Astronaut Kate Rubins. In 2016, Kate spent 115 days in space aboard the International Space Station. She completed two space walks—for a total of almost 13 hours of spacewalk time. She has a doctorate in cancer biology from Stanford University Medical School and was the first person to sequence DNA on space. Listeners will get to hear Kate describe how she became an astronaut, how being “off planet” gave her a new perspective on the world, and what its like working in zero gravity. Read More

The FCC announced it is ready to authorize Connect America Fund Phase II auction (Auction 903) support for the Auction 903 winning bids identified in Attachment A.  To be authorized to receive the total 10-year support amounts the bidders must submit acceptable irrevocable standby letter(s) of credit and Bankruptcy Code opinion letter(s) from their legal counsel for each state where they have winning bids that are ready to be authorized prior to 6:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
