USDA LogoUSDA Investing over $83 Million in Broadband Grants in Three States: Alabama, Illinois, South Carolina 


In Illinois, the USDA announced it has invested $12.8 million in high-speed broadband infrastructure that will create or improve e-Connectivity for more than 1,650 homes in rural Illinois.   

 

“We know that rural communities need robust, modern infrastructure to thrive, and that includes having access to broadband e-Connectivity,” Secretary Bill Northey said.

Main PUC sealMaine Announces Federal Grant for 911 Enhancements

The Maine PUC announced it has received a $680,741 Federal Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of Commerce to improve 911 location information in Maine.  Maine is one of 34 states to receive federal funding to advance the development of next generation 911 systems.
