Chairman Pai Confirmed To Serve Second Term At The FCC

FCC Chairman Ajit Pai released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm him for a second term:

“I am deeply grateful to the U.S. Senate for confirming my nomination to serve a second term at the FCC and to President Trump for submitting that nomination to the Senate.  Since January, the Commission has focused on bridging the digital divide, promoting innovation, protecting consumers and public safety, and making the FCC more open and transparent.  With today’s vote, I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to advance these critical priorities in the time to come.”

In addition, the Chairman announced his appointment of Eric Burger to serve as the agency’s Chief Technology Officer.  Dr. Burger will advise Chairman Pai and the agency on technology and engineering issues, together with the Office of Engineering and Technology.

New Call-to-actionMontana Operator Service Rates

The Public Service Commission of Montana decided to maintain the current maximum allowable operator service rates until it completes its pending rulemaking that would adopt new rate cap rules.  The rates had been scheduled to be reset effective October 1, 2017.
