Colorado Releases Agenda for High Cost Support Meeting

The Department of Regulatory Agencies released the agenda for the Commissioners’ Information Meeting (CIM) in the HCSM proceeding.  See the Regulatory Mix dated 10/30/17.  The meeting will take place on November 9, 2017.  It will be webcast via the PUC website:  https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dora/webcastsClick here for the agenda. 

 

NARUC Annual Meeting and Conference

NARUC will convene for the 129th Annual Meeting and Education Conference in Baltimore, MD on November 12-15, 2017.  Energy policy, telecommunications, and other utility topics are issues on the agenda.  Draft Telecommunications Resolutions address E911 access and enterprise communications systems, ensuring that the federal lifeline program continues to provide service to low-income households, and bridging the digital divide.  For more about the “Infrastructure, Innovation, and Investment; Driving the Future of Regulation” agenda and draft resolutions, click here

 

New Call-to-actionPuerto Rico Calls for Information About Bill Credits After Hurricane 

The Telecommunications Regulatory Board issued a Resolution and Order requiring all certified and registered telecommunications, cable television, television by satellite, and VoIP companies to provide information describing the type of credit that will be granted to customers for their time without service; how many invoices of billing cycles will be included in this credit; how this credit information has been communicated to customers; and how many customers have requested credit for time without service.  The Order is dated November 3, 2017, and response is due “on or before five days.” 

 

Utah Opts-In to FirstNet Plan

Utah Governor Gary Herbert announced that Utah will accept the FirstNet plan to deliver a wireless broadband network to the state’s public safety community.  “Utah is pleased to join other states in working with FirstNet to deploy the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network,” said Governor Herbert.  “First responders need to have the most advanced and reliable communication technology so they can access critical information, respond efficiently, and coordinate efforts.  The FirstNet plan and associated technology will give Utah and the nation the necessary tools to maximize public safety.”
