Kansas Filing Requirements for ICC/USF Reform

The Kansas Corporation Commission has established filing requirements for the July 2017 ICC/USF reform tariff filings.  CLECs that have not incorporated a reference and/or URL to their interstate tariff in their intrastate tariff must file revised intrastate access tariffs and supporting documentation by June 16, 2017TMI Briefing Service subscribers see Briefing dated 4/13/17.

 

Mississippi to Revise Inmate Service Provider Rules

The PSC is proposing to amend its inmate service provider (ISP) Rules.  Proposed changes include making exempt those ISPs solely using VoIP or IP systems from the requirement to obtain a certificate of public convenience and necessity.  TMI Briefing Service subscribers see Briefing dated 4/14/17.

 

Texas Issues Hurricane Bill Inserts

The PUC released bill inserts for utilities to use during the 2017 hurricane season.  The bill inserts must begin in June and end in November.  They are intended for residential customers who live in the five hurricane evacuation zones.  The message can be in the form of a bill insert or bill message.  The message can be enlarged, shrunk, and printed in whatever type the carrier wants and can be in black and white or color.  However, the message must be sent in both English and Spanish.  The June, August, October bill insert is available here; the July, September, and November insert is available here.
