The House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, chaired by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), announced a hearing for Thursday, September 27, 2018 entitled, “State of the Media Marketplace.”  The #SubCommTech hearing will examine the state of the media marketplace, and look at how innovation and consumer expectations are shaping the new media landscape.   “In less than a decade’s time, innovation has driven unprecedented changes to the media landscape, bringing consumers more options, more content, and greater convenience than ever before. Our upcoming hearing will spotlight the latest trends in the ways Americans consume media, how that affects business models, market growth, and public policy, and where we go from here. I look forward to hearing from our panel of expert witnesses next week as we examine the 21st century media marketplace,” said #SubCommTech Chairman Blackburn.
