FCC

The FCC’s Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) has released proposed disclosure formats (formats) for the consumer-facing disclosures required by the FCC’s Open Internet rules.  There are separate formats for fixed and mobile broadband. The formats must be approved by the FCC’s Wireline Competition, Wireless Telecommunications, and Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureaus (the Bureaus). The Bureaus will issue a Public Notice announcing whether the proposed formats meet their expectations. TMI Briefing Service subscribers see Briefing dated 11/11/15.

ENERGY

New York

Governor Cuomo released the following statement after Entergy announced its plans to retire the FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant. “The closing of the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant will devastate the lives of the more than 600 employees and their families. Good corporate citizenship must appreciate that there are many factors that count as the “bottom line.” The State of New York will pursue every legal and regulatory avenue in an attempt to stop Entergy’s actions and its callous disregard for their skilled and loyal workforce.”
