The_Mix_logo3.png The Regulatory Mix, TMI’s daily blog of telecom related regulatory activities, is a snapshot of PUC, FCC, legislative, and occasionally court issues that our regulatory monitoring team uncovers each day. Depending on their significance, some items may be the subject of a TMI Briefing.

FCC LNPA Transition Outreach

The FCC announced two upcoming Local Number Portability Administrator (LNPA) Transition outreach and education events to be held by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP, the Transition Oversight Manager (TOM).  All stakeholders with an interest in the transition are encouraged to participate.  The TOM will be at the Venetian I Palazzo Congress Center, adjacent to the CTIA Conference, in Las Vegas, NV on September 7, 2016 between 10AM - 5PM PDT and on September 8, 2016 between 9AM - 3PM PDT. This in-person event will give stakeholders the opportunity to share perspectives and ask questions about the LNPA Transition in an informal manner.  The TOM will also be at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, collocated with the NTCA Conference, in Indianapolis, IN on September 26 and 27, 2016 between 10AM - 5PM EDT.  Interested persons may contact the TOM with any questions or preference for a particular time to meet at this address.

South Carolina Residential White Pages

AT&T has notified the PSC that, beginning with certain directories published in October 2016, its contractor, YP, will stop publishing printed versions of the residential white pages in South Carolina.  The practice will gradually expand throughout the state.  Customers will be notified of the change through messaging printed on the front cover of the yellow pages directory, and in the Customer Guide. All notifications will feature details on how residential listings can be accessed.  Customers have free electronic access to residential White Pages listings through the following websites: www.ReaIPagesLive.com and WWW.VP.com.
