FCC

The FCC released another list of additional parties that have signed an acknowledgement of confidentiality (AOC) and that seek to review the data gathered through the FCC’s special access data collection (SADC).  The list includes persons that signed AOCs since September 29, 2015, or were not included in previous Public Notices.  Companies that submitted confidential or highly confidential information in response to the SADC have until October 15, 2015, to object to the disclosure of their data and information to any of the parties on the list. 

Minnesota

The PUC agreed to investigate CenturyLink’s complaint that Charter Fiberlink has failed to complete calls in the Duluth –Superior extended area service territory when the call involves certain telephone numbers that have been ported or otherwise transferred as part of the nationwide telephone number portability system. CenturyLink alleged that the calls do not complete because Charter Fiberlink does not perform a database query or routing necessary to complete the call and that, as a matter of industry standard, other service providers in Charter Fiberlink’s position perform the necessary database query and routing to complete the call. The PUC concluded that the conduct alleged by CenturyLink may constitute inadequate telephone service or a violation of the interconnection agreement and should therefore be investigated. Charter Fiberlink was directed to file an answer to the complaint within 20 days of the October 7, 2015, Order.  Within 30 days of the date of the order, any interested parties may file comments. Reply comments may be filed within 10 days of the close of the initial comment period.
