TELECOM

 

Illinois

The Illinois Commerce Commission has raised the maximum operator service provider rate caps to reflect a 1.40% change in the Gross Domestic Product Implicit Price Deflator. The maximum allowable operator service rates and charges were adjusted accordingly and become effective January 1, 2014.TMI Regulatory Bulletin Service subscribers see Illinois Bulletin dated 12/13/1.3

 

New York

A new law in New York will allow carriers to detariff all retail services other than regulated basic services. Detariffed carriers will be required to post their rates, terms, and conditions of service on the Internet and provide customers with notice of any rate increases. Once the law becomes effective, existing retail tariffs may be withdrawn on thirty days notice. The law becomes effective 1/19/14.
