Maine Regulatory RulesThe Maine PUC adopted amendments to the standards for the designation and annual certification of Eligible Telecommunications Carriers (ETCs). In a separate Order, it also adopted amendments to the eligibility criteria for the Lifeline and Link-Up programs. When the adopted rules become effective, the PUC will no longer designate Lifeline-only ETCs. Going forward, such carriers will apply to the FCC for ETC designation. The rule changes will become effective after publication by the Secretary of State.
