FCC Seeks Additional Data On Inmate Calling Services

The FCC is asking for comments on various "ancillary" fees collected by inmate calling service (ICS) providers. Ancillary fees include fees for account setup, account replenishment, account refund, and account inactivity fees. Comments are due July 17, 2013; reply comments are due July 24, 2013. The FCC also provided notice that certain readily-available information about ICS contracts and U.S. Census data may be considered in the proceeding.
