Alabama To Implement New Rules For Inmate Calling Services

The Alabama Public Service Commission declined to further extend its stay of the implementation of its December 9, 2014, Final Order adopting new rules for inmate calling service (ICS). Accordingly, ICS providers must begin implementing the order on July 1, 2015. The important due dates during the first 60 days are as follows:

Technologies Management, Inc. Consultant Robin Norton to Retire December 31, 2014

Robin Norton, valued consultant and long time employee will retire from her position at Technologies Management, Inc. (TMI) on December 31, 2014. Since joining TMI in 1998, Robin worked diligently with local, long distance, operator service, and inmate service providers on state and federal regulatory compliance issues, providing outstanding support services to every client with whom she worked. Using her prior experience as a key staff member at the Florida Public Service Commission, Robin assisted our clients in developing and defending policy positions on a myriad of telecom regulatory issues including: confinement service, price caps, wireless certification requirements, mergers and transfers, and operator service regulations.
