Connecticut Reopens Small Cell Proceeding After Objection

The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) has issued a notice of hearing after it reopened an application for approval to attach a small cell facility to a utility pole.  Specifically, Mobilitie LLC applied to attach a top-mounted antenna and associated radio and electrical service equipment to an existing utility pole.  Subsequently, a resident filed an objection to the attachment and the PURA decided to reopen this case.

A public hearing in the reopened case will be held at the PURA offices, Ten Franklin Square, New Britain, Connecticut, on Monday, August 6, 2018, at 1:30 p.m.

Maine Pole Attachments

The Maine PUC has opened an investigation to determine whether the replacement of utility poles is "make ready" work under Section 7(A) of Chapter 880 of the PUC’s Rules.
