Alaska
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska has relaxed the tariff filing requirements in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau (the three competitive local exchange markets). The new rules allow most retail tariff revisions and special contracts for retail services and rates to become effective immediately without approval of the Commission. They also remove the requirement for prior customer notice of the change and allow customer notice to be made after implementation via a website posting.
