Maine Proposes Changes to MTEAF Rules

The Maine Public Utilities Commission proposes changes to the Maine Telecommunications Education Access Fund (MTEAF) Rules.  The Maine Legislature changed the amount that could be collected from voice network service providers from a percentage of revenues to a per line or number amount, with the actual amount to be determined by the PUC.

Oregon Revises OUSF Rules

The Oregon PUC revised its rules for the Oregon Universal Service Fund (OUSF).  The rule revisions are intended to help providers better understand their OUSF obligations by clarifying procedures and therefore reducing the time providers and PUC Staff spend researching requirements.

Vermont PUC Online Filing System

The Vermont Public Utility Commission announced that phase 3 of its new online filing and case management system, known as ePUC, will be going live on November 15, 2017. On that date, the ePUC will begin accepting electronic filing for a variety of Reports, Rulemakings, Telecom application forms, and Cable television application forms. In addition, the Commission is offering training opportunities in the use of the ePUC system.
